Medical experience in rural Kenya, arranged through Entepesi.
Entepesi Kenya signs Memoranda of Understanding with local and international institutions to host student internships and clinical attachments — so learners gain real field experience in rural healthcare, alongside local health workers.
Learning by serving
Clinical experience where the need is real.
Our medical outreaches double as a learning and service platform. Students and volunteers work together with local health workers to serve communities with quality healthcare — exchanging knowledge, giving lectures to staff and mentoring university students.
Outreaches are held in conjunction with the Ministry of Health and local and foreign medical professionals, in communities where the nearest hospital can be as far as 60 kilometres away.

What you'll take part in
Work across our core programs.
Medical outreaches
Diagnosis, treatment, medication, health education and follow-up or referral notices in rural communities.
Prevention screenings
Hypertension screening at community health dialogues, alongside trained Community Health Volunteers.
Health education
Age-appropriate sexual and reproductive health, menstrual hygiene and mental health sessions in schools.
Staff development
Training hospital staff in leadership, customer service and conflict resolution.

How it works
From application to the field.
Program costs vary based on what is offered, and are typically covered by the visiting participant. Entepesi Kenya organizes and plans the outreaches and events you will take part in.

Tell us about your studies, the type of placement you need, your preferred dates and the areas you would like to work in.

We review
Entepesi Kenya reviews your application against upcoming outreaches and availability, and follows up with you by email.

Confirm with your university
For credit-bearing rotations we coordinate with your institution, including a Memorandum of Understanding where one is not already in place.
- 04
Serve in Kajiado County
Work alongside local health workers at medical outreaches, prevention screenings and school health programs.
